Classically Modern
Is it possible to have a classic and timeless design while being modern and current? With the right balance of materials and details, yes, it is possible.
This condo exuded a classic luxury style that blended harmoniously with a contemporary kitchen that was stripped down to the simplest of details. The Dark Oak veneer with vertical grains dominated the otherwise monochromatic space. A subtle thin rail around the cabinetry doors was a small detail that brought an appreciation to custom Millwork not often found in today's modern condos. Black Silestone countertops with an ogre edge further empathized the dramatic impact of the kitchen while the white veining added a slight organic and natural aesthetic to the space. The gold hardware and faucets created a sense of luxury without being overly obtrusive.
To complement the traditional wainscoting and crown moulding, polished grey limestone clad the fireplace and produced a modern and monolithic vertical form. Accessible storage in the living room was created with a built-in book shelf and media cabinets which added the right balance of practicality and style.
